Taskward Privacy Policy
How Taskward may collect, use, share, retain, and protect information.
This general template is informational and is not legal advice.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how BWK Holdings Limited (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in Taskward. Exact data practices depend on the final implemented features and will be aligned with the production app before release.
2. Information users provide
Users may provide account details, profile information, tasks, checklist content, goals, feedback, and support communications.
3. Information collected automatically
Depending on the final implementation, Taskward may collect limited technical and usage information needed to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the app.
4. Account information
If accounts are offered, we may process an email address, username, authentication identifiers, profile settings, and related account records.
5. Task and productivity information
We may process tasks, lists, completion history, scores, streaks, achievements, and related productivity information to provide requested features.
6. Photos and camera access
Taskward may request camera or photo-library access so users can capture written checklists. Access occurs only with user permission. Photos are used only to provide requested app functionality and are not intended to be stored permanently unless retention is necessary for a feature disclosed in the production app.
7. Image processing and checklist recognition
Checklist images may be processed to recognize and convert written content into tasks. The final policy will describe whether processing occurs on-device or through a service, how long images are retained, and which provider is involved.
8. Device information
We may receive device type, operating-system version, app version, language, settings, diagnostic events, and identifiers necessary for app security and operation.
9. Analytics
Taskward may use limited analytics only if implemented and disclosed. Privacy disclosures will be updated before third-party analytics, advertising, AI, cloud processing, or authentication providers are added.
10. Leaderboards and social features
If enabled, usernames, avatars, scores, ranks, achievements, or other selected profile details may be visible to other users. Controls and visibility will depend on the final features.
11. Notifications
With permission, Taskward may send reminders, progress updates, or account messages. Users can manage notifications in the app or device settings.
12. How information is used
Information may be used to provide and personalize features, maintain accounts, calculate progress, enable social features, respond to support, protect users, prevent fraud, troubleshoot, comply with law, and improve the app.
13. How information is shared
Personal information is not sold. Information may be shared with a user’s direction, with service providers acting for us, to comply with law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
14. Service providers
Providers may support hosting, authentication, communications, diagnostics, or image processing. The final production policy will identify or describe relevant provider categories and their roles.
15. Data retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described, including providing the app, meeting legal obligations, resolving disputes, and protecting security. Final retention periods depend on implemented features.
16. Account deletion
Users may request deletion through the app or the Taskward deletion webpage. Some information may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, transaction records, or dispute resolution.
17. Children’s privacy
Taskward is intended for users age 13 and older, unless the final app requires a different minimum age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age.
18. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information. No system can guarantee absolute security.
19. International users
Information may be processed in the United States or other places where providers operate. Applicable safeguards will be used when required.
20. User rights
Depending on location, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information, or object to certain processing. Contact [email protected] to make a request.
21. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Taskward evolves. Material updates will be communicated as required, and the effective and last-updated dates will be revised.
